A report has emerged revealing Anthony Gordon’s shock price tag amid his Champions League heroics.
Gordon scored a stunning four goals in Newcastle United’s Champions League first-leg play-off tie against Qarabag.
He scored each of his four goals in the first-half of Wednesday’s clash in Azerbaijan.
Gordon scored two goals from open play as well as two penalties, with his second spot-kick angering Kieran Trippier, who clashed with his teammate at the break.
He made history as he became the first Newcastle player to score four goals in a European fixture in the club’s history.
Gordon is enjoying another stellar campaign in front of goal as only Kylian Mbappe has scored more goals than him in this season's Champions League campaign.
His impressive season comes off the back of a summer filled with uncertainty, having been linked with a move away from St. James’ Park.

However, according to a report via Caught Offside, Liverpool are ‘leading the race’ for the 24-year-old.
A figure has also been bandied about, with the report claiming a transfer could cost as much as £95 million.
A transfer to Anfield would be an emotional move considering his ties to Liverpool, having been born in Merseyside.
A source said: “Liverpool look like the early frontrunners for Gordon. He grew up there, and his family are Liverpool fans despite him previously being at Everton."
Another source added: “Liverpool’s interest strong, they’ve admired him for some time and there may already have been some informal contacts to assess the possibility of a move. The problem is Newcastle will do everything they can to make life difficult for Liverpool again as they did with Alexander Isak. I don’t expect they’d even consider entering into talks unless they can receive something in the region of £85m, possibly even as high as £95m."
Anthony Gordon was named Man of the Match against Qarabag. Image: Getty Given Gordon’s experience in the Premier League and career trajectory, he could be viewed as an upgrade from the likes of Cody Gakpo, who has occupied a spot on the left-wing this season.
Other than a loan spell at Preston North End, the star forward has plied his entire career in the Premier League, having come through Everton’s youth academy.
He has made 170 top flight appearances, scoring 28 league goals.
