Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has only been dribbled past eight times in three Premier League seasons and some of the players will shock you.

Van Dijk joined Liverpool for £75 million in 2018 and has gone on to cement himself as one of the world's greatest defenders.

While you'd expect some of the world's top forwards to be those who've got the better of the Dutchman, the list of eight only includes two strikers.

Check out the entire list below per Squawka.

Alexandre Lacazette (Arsenal)

Mikel Merino (Newcastle United)

Nicolas Pepe (Arsenal)

Jay Rodriguez (Burnley)

Bernardo Silva (Manchester City)

Dele Alli (Tottenham Hotspur)

Ruben Neves (Wolves)

Moussa Djenepo (Southampton)

It's Arsenal who have the most players in the list with Nicolas Pepe becoming the first man in 50 games to get past the Dutchman back in August.

Lacazette managed to get through the 28-year-old during his time with Southampton.

While many rank van Dijk among the elite centre-back's in world football, Everton attacker Richarlison recently claimed there are three defenders better than him.

Ahead of this Sunday's Merseyside derby at Goodison Park, Richarlison claimed that he's already dribbled past van Dijk (despite official stats stating he hasn't), and stated that Marquinhos, Thiago Silva and Sergio Ramos are all superior.

"People talk a lot about him, yes he is a great defender but I've already dribbled past him," Richarlison said in an interview with Desimpedidos, per The Mirror.

"He was chosen as one of the top three in the world as he had an excellent season. But yes, for me there are better defenders."

"Thiago Silva, Marquinhos and Sergio Ramos," he replied when asked to name said defenders.

Victory for Liverpool against their bitter rivals will move them one win away from clinching their first ever Premier League title.
