Man Utd Lose To West Brom With Paul Pogba & Bruno Fernandes In Midfield

Manchester United fell to a 2-1 defeat against West Bromwich Albion in a behind closed doors friendly - with Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes starting.

United fans are yet to see Pogba and Fernandes link following the Portuguese midfielder's arrival in January.

Fans of the Red Devils have been wondering how a midfield pairing of Pogba and Fernandes would work, but they likely didn't expect a result like this.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side did win their second friendly 3-1 with a much weaker side according to The United Stand, as stars such as Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial also played in the 2-1 defeat.

Social media has reacted to United's loss and rival fans seemed to be absolutely loving it.

It isn't the first time a Premier League outfit has been shocked by Championship opposition in the last few days.

Arsenal fell to a 3-2 defeat against Brentford and a huge talking point coming out of that game was David Luiz's defending.

Arteta started with a strong team who played the first hour and even when the subs came on around the 60 minute mark the team was still a pretty good one.

The Premier League side twice took the lead at 1-0 and 2-1 but were pegged back both times and eventually lost to the Championship side, who are still chasing promotion to the top tier.
