Cristiano Ronaldo attempted to score straight from kick-off during Juventus vs Torino last night.

The Portuguese superstar lined up knowing a win in Derby della Mole would lift Juventus to third in the table.

But Ronaldo was a bit too keen as he received the ball from Paulo Dybala in the opening few seconds and immediately hit a long range effort from his own half.

You can see why the 35-year-old fancied his chances, with Salvatore Sirigu slightly off his line. But the shot flew high and wide into the Allianz Stadium stands.

Fans have reacted to the clip and it gives off massive 'messing around on the school playground' vibes

Ronaldo was presented with a special shirt by Juventus president Andrea Agnelli prior to the game after scoring his 750th professional goal in midweek.

But the occasion was soured nine minutes in as Nicolas Nkoulou gave Torino a shock lead.

It would take until the 77th minute for Andrea Pirlo's side to respond, with Weston McKennie's first goal for the club making it 1-1.

Juventus would get a winner in the 89th minute through Leonardo Bonucci and they remain unbeaten in the league this season.

Pirlo was critical of his side however and said they need to start moving the ball quicker in games.

"It's true, our DNA must remain at the centre of the whole team," the Italian told BlackWhiteReadAllOver. "At times, games do get messy, we concede after a few minutes and our opponents defend well.

"When you can't style your way through, you have to find other ways.

"We do have to move the ball more quickly, as otherwise we give the opposition more time to get back into position, so it's all the same thing really.

"A side like Juventus absolutely cannot go into a game lacking character, tenacity and hunger.

"You need the style and good football, but also the determination. You can't just have one without the other."
