Haaland will be able to take his frustrations out when City return to action in the Carabao Cup and then back in the Premier League.

Premier League fans were worried about Erling Haaland getting six weeks to put his feet up during the World Cup, and now the Manchester City striker has showed what he's been doing with his time.

With the World Cup having grabbed our attention for the past month and a half, it's easy to forget how soon top tier domestic football is returning.

During our time off from the tribalism of club football, it would have been easy to have let Haaland's existence completely slip your mind.

Before the stoppage for the tournament in Qatar, the City striker was all most people could talk about, even though he was stopped by Brentford in the final game before the break.

Fans of the other clubs in the Premier League were worried that with all that time off, the Norwegian would return to action completely refreshed, frustrated at not playing football, and ready smash everyone in his way.

Now Sky have released a hilarious video showing exactly what the 'bored' forward has been doing, as he pottered around the club, waiting for the return of his teammates, especially Kevin de Bruyne, as you can see below.

Haaland can be seen doing a bit of the caretaker's job at City's training ground, riding on one of those lawnmowers that you only need if you're wealthier than I'll ever be.

The former Borussia Dortmund star is clearly missing his pals, as he attempts to call Jack Grealish, who is unfortunately unavailable.

It's De Bruyne who he is unsurprisingly missing most, as he tries to make one of the free kick dummies into a stand in for the Belgian.

No doubt the midfielder was missing his mate too, whilst he was out in Qatar, as he had a bit of a terrible time during his spell in Qatar.

He did somehow win the Player of the Match award for the win over Canada but criticised the squad for being too old to win the World Cup, and he was proved very right as they got knocked out in the group stages.

Despite his obvious brilliance, there was criticism of De Bruyne after they were knocked out, with claims that he's the 'worst big game player ever.'

They were, in fairness to Belgium, defeated by Croatia and Morocco who both proved just how good they were by going on to reach the semi-finals.

Either way, the midfielder will be glad to be back at home and ready to link up with Pep Guardiola, Haaland and his other club teammates again.

City face Liverpool in the Carabao Cup on Thursday, before restarting their league campaign against Leeds United on December 28th.

On Saturday, the pair showed they're ready to pick up the team's desire to win a third league title in-a-row, in their final warm up game.

De Bruyne scored the opening goal in City's game with Spanish side Girona, before setting up Haaland for the second, in a 2-0 win.

The 22-year-old striker has already bagged 18 goals in just 13 league games, and could yet smash Mohamed Salah's record for most goals in a 38 game Premier League season.
