Details of what that England squad think about Thomas Tuchel ahead of the first game under their new manager have been revealed.

On Friday evening, the Three Lions will lineup for their first game since former manager Gareth Southgate was replaced by new boss Tuchel following their loss to Spain in the Euro 2024 final.

Ahead of the World Cup qualifier matches, Tuchel named his first England squad earlier this week, with several shock players making the cut.

And now, a new report has revealed exactly how Tuchel's England team feel about their new manager, as several WhatsApp messages from senior players have been leaked.

After several months considering several different managers, Tuchel was officially appointed as the new England manager in October, giving him five months to become familiar with his new players.

According to The Guardian, the German manager is viewed by the England camp as a 'Perfectionist' and a 'Workaholic' that talked the FA through his plan for the team with a powerpoint explaining exactly how he would lead them to a trophy.

Following his meeting with the FA, the governing body put him, and any other candidate linked with the England job, into three pots, with Tuchel being placed into the one labelled 'super elite.'

The report adds that as soon as his appointment was officially announced, there was an immediate 'buzz; within the England squad’s WhatsApp group, despite the fact that they had months until their first game with the new boss.

Another report from Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett added further information about the England squad's reaction, claiming they are already impressed despite their short time together.

"I've been really impressed with him since he's started the job," Dorsett wrote.

"Tuchel has had the English media eating out of the palm of his hands in every news conference that he's done so far, and by all accounts, he's had a similar response from the England players, such was this inspirational speech he gave.

"The players have been impressed by him, but it's a very short-term job. He has an 18-month contract, and he's already three months into that before he's played his first game, so he's got to hit the ground running."
