While Marcus Rashford looks set to receive another England call-up, his cousin has made his mark on the international stage for a different country.

Rashford is expected to be included in Thomas Tuchel's squad, which will be announced on Friday, marking his third consecutive England camp.

The 28-year-old has 66 caps for England, but was left out of the Euro 2024 squad following a disappointing season with Manchester United.

After joining Aston Villa on loan in January 2025, Rashford's improved performances earned him a recall to the national team in March.

He has continued to impress at Barcelona, registering six goals and seven assists in 15 games.

With no player yet to tie down England's starting left wing spot, Rashford will be hoping to force his way into the starting 11 ahead of the World Cup.

However, he is not the only member of his family to have played international football.

His older cousin, Lois Maynard, has made 30 appearances for Saint Kitts and Nevis.

The 36-year-old, who can play as a central defender or central midfielder, has spent his career across a range of lower league clubs, including Tranmere Rovers, Salford City and Stockport County.

Currently, Maynard plays for Radcliffe FC in the National League North.

Radcliffe have made a strong start to the season and currently sit third in the table, which is a play-off position.

Maynard has been a key player, featuring 10 times and even contributing three goals.

Back in 2021, Maynard spoke to The Mirror about watching Rashford grow up.

He said: “Oh God yeah! The first time I saw Marcus kick a ball, he was seven or eight, and it was something even I couldn't do at 15 or 16!

“I thought 'this guy's got a chance!'. He was obviously very, very talented, but talent doesn't always give you the upper hand.

“But knowing he had a good family around him, keeping him grounded, he had the best opportunity to make it.”

Since that interview, Rashford's career has had its ups and downs.

He was named Manchester United's Player of the Year in 2022/23, but struggled to replicate that form the following season, and then fell out with head coach Ruben Amorim.

His loan move to Aston Villa helped him earn his move to Barcelona, although he only scored two league goals during his six-month spell in the Midlands.

However, under Hansi Flick at Barcelona, Rashford appears to be thriving.

In Raphinha's absence, he has started the last six league games, with Barcelona currently sitting second in La Liga, five points behind Real Madrid.
