Damning Report Shows How Bad Things Are At Manchester United

Players are unhappy with how things are under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and were shocked one player played in the Manchester derby after illness.

A damning report has claimed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is facing a player revolt at Manchester United, which could spell the end for his time in charge at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer has been coming under increasing pressure in the past few weeks, and the 5-0 loss against Liverpool was felt to be the final straw for many fans.

The United boss limped on after that match, helped by the win over Tottenham Hotspur that saw the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo, but the humiliating display in the weekend's Manchester derby, which led to Roy Keane claiming he'd 'given up' on United, could be the end for Solskjaer.

A report in the Daily Mail claims that the club's hierarchy wanted to keep the Norwegian in his job until at least the end of the season, having given him a new three year contract in the summer, but back-to-back embarrassments at home to their rivals could speed up the process.

As well as questions from above, the former striker is also dealing with a 'revolt' amongst his ranks, with players reportedly unhappy with his management.

Bruno Fernandes is reportedly amongst those who believe that he, and the rest of the players, aren't being given enough direction by the manager or the coaches.

There is also a feeling that those young coaches are all learning on the job, with the likes of Michael Carrick, Darren Fletcher and Kieran McKenna all in their senior coaching roles.

Cristiano Ronaldo is another named in the report, with the former Real Madrid star apparently shocked by just how far standards have slipped at the club since he left for Spain 12 years ago.

The players as a collective are said to be surprised by the lack of game time for Donny van de Beek, who was greeted by a warm arrival as a substitute against Manchester City at the weekend.

However, the use of another sub on Saturday afternoon was even more surprising, with players said to be baffled that Marcus Rashford came one.

The forward returned to Manchester from the Champions League tie with Atalanta at the weekend with 'flu like symptoms' and missed training for two days ahead of the derby, but was still used ahead of Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial in the game.

A general softness from Solskjaer towards the players, and a favouritism towards his favourites, are also cited as other issues players have with the manager.

Keane also hilariously questioned his former teammate's continued use of Fred, but the players are also concerned with the continued picking of Harry Maguire, despite his dreadful form.

The report will make galling reading for all United fans, and Solskjaer, at exactly how much is wrong at the club.

Despite claims that the club are ready to speak to Brendan Rodgers, it's yet to be seen if those who run the club will finally take decisive action or allow the current manager to continue to limp on.
