Fans have already lost all faith in Mykhailo Mudryk after 61-minute disasterclass vs England

Fans have already lost all faith in Mykhailo Mudryk after 61-minute disasterclass vs England

Mykhailo Mudryk was hauled off after an hour in Ukraine's 2-0 defeat to England at Wembley.

The verdict is already out on Chelsea's Mykhailo Mudryk, with fans now losing all faith in him after a dismal showing against England at Wembley.

England made it two wins out of two in Euro 2024 qualifying courtesy of first half goals from Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka - the latter producing a wonder-goal to extend his nation's lead.

The turn and exquisite strike from Saka provided further evidence of just why he is one of the top wingers in the Premier League and world football on the whole.

But while he was shining, opposite number Mudryk dropped an absolute disasterclass.

Chelsea forked out £89 million in January to bring him and despite some moments of promise and frightening speed, he is yet to find the net in seven games and doesn't appear to be first-choice under Graham Potter.

And he didn't look any better in a Ukraine shirt. Playing down the left, the former Shakhtar Donetsk man was pocketed by Kyle Walker and his only notable moment was accidentally blocking Ruslan Malinovskyi's shot in the first half.

He had 30 touches but managed just one successful take on and lost possession 12 times.

Mudryk was substituted just after the hour mark and fans scolded him online for a poor showing.

One said: "I’m not even joking when I say Anthony Elanga has more to offer than Mudryk."

Another opined: "Mykhailo Mudryk is worth 100 million then Starboy Bukayo Saka is worth 100 billion."

A third added: "Mudryk is so so raw, like he's so not ready it's crazy."

Another weighed in: "Mudryk is indeed quick. Like Aaron Lennon. And he’s also playing football like Aaron Lennon."

A fifth put it bluntly: "Mudryk doesn’t seem good at football."

A sixth user questioned Mudryk's qualities, stating: "Genuine question, what is Mudryk good at? He can’t dribble, can’t create, can’t make a good decision, can’t cross, can’t finish, can’t win the ball. What is his best position????"
