Harry Kane has made feelings clear on Premier League return after winning first trophy at Bayern Munich

The England and Bayern Munich striker finally won his first trophy when the Bavarians secured the Bundesliga on May 4.

Harry Kane has made his feelings clear on a potential return to the Premier League following Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga triumph.

Kane, 31, signed for Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023 but failed to win silverware during his first season in Bavaria.

Despite scoring 36 goals in 32 league games in his maiden Bundesliga campaign, Bayern slumped to third and watched on as Bayer Leverkusen, then-coached by Xabi Alonso, went unbeaten in the league, won the DFB-Pokal and reached the Europa League final.

But the 2024/25 campaign was different. Bayern finished 13 points clear of Leverkusen in the race for the title, as Kane netted 26 league goals in 31 appearances.

The triumph means the England captain has finally won the first major trophy of his playing career.

Kane will, no doubt, look to add to his list of medals come next season, but could a return to the Premier League be on the cards?

As things stand, Kane is second in the Premier League top goal scorers charts on 213 strikes, 47 behind Alan Shearer’s tally of 260.

And Kane opened up about his future plans during an interview with BBC Sport.

First, the former Spurs man admitted that life in Germany was initially tough.

Kane said: “When we first moved to Germany, I mean, it was tough.

"I think the first six months I was here, my family was still in London, and I was in a hotel, so that was difficult - to be in a different country, to be away from them, and still have to perform.

"Now, though, we've all been together in a house for over a year, and the kids are in school, they're loving it."

He added: "My wife's really enjoyed it here and we're loving every second. Like I said, the way the German people, the Bayern fans, have taken us in - it's really made us feel special, not just for me, but for my family as well.”

He was then pressed on whether he wants to return to England to break Shearer’s record.

The Bayern forward replied: “No, I don't really think about it."

"I think I've learned in my career as you've become more experienced, you just do what you can. Football kind of takes you on your own journey. I really enjoy my time here, and I'm not thinking about being anywhere else.”
