Harry Kane has a secret release clause in his Bayern Munich contract but two conditions must be met for a move to happen, it has been revealed.
Kane joined Bayern from Spurs for an initial £86 million in 2023 and has continued his red-hot goalscoring form in Bavaria, banging in an incredible 105 goals in 109 games.
He finally ended his career trophy drought last season by winning the Bundesliga in a stunning 41-goal season and already has 22 goals in 14 appearances in all competitions for his club this term.
Despite that, the England captain continues to be linked with a return to the Premier League, where he is the second in the goalscoring charts on 213 - just 47 behind Alan Shearer's long-standing record.

And in a new report from German outlet BILD, it's emerged that Kane does have an interesting clause in his Bayern deal.

According to the report, Kane's release clause stands at £57 million - a cheap fee for one of Europe's deadliest strikers who is showing no signs of slowing down at the age of 32.
However, there is a time limit on any potential suitors getting Kane for that price as the clause is only active if he tells Bayern his wish to trigger it before the end of January 2026.

The £57 million clause is therefore only valid for the summer of 2026 and will be wiped from Kane's deal if no transfer comes to fruition.
Kane's deal signed in 2023 runs until 2027 and with things going well on and off the pitch in Munich, he is open to extending his stay.
"We can certainly talk about that," Kane said in September when asked out possibility signing a contract extension.
"I have almost two years left. It’s not like I’m in the final year of my contract and anyone is panicking. I’m fine. The club is fine. I think they’re happy with me, and I’m happy with them. Those discussions can take place.”

Bayern change release clause rule
In previous years, Bayern have been reluctant to work with release clauses for their players. But that has changed in recent times, with Kane said to be just one of a few players with such terms.
Defender Kim Min-Jae is believed to have a release clause of £88 million - much higher than the former Napoli man's market value.

In addition, Bayern and Germany's crown jewel Jamal Musiala is said to have a release clause of £153 million in his deal signed until 2030.
However, clubs could well be on alert a year prior as in 2029, the clause will drop to £88 million.
