Aaron Ramsdale brutally destroyed Mason Mount with a line about Frank Lampard being his 'dad".

The England stars took part in a 'FIFA flashback' video for the Three Lions' YouTube video and took a trip down memory lane by looking back at their old Ultimate Team cards.

The pair went through their old ratings on various FIFAs to see how they've evolved over the years and it brought plenty of entertainment.

Mount was discussing his 74-rated silver card from when he was on loan at Derby County, who reached the play-off final before losing to Aston Villa at Wembley.

He scored 11 times in all competitions playing under Lampard at Pride Park and the loan stint helped him significantly in his quest to break into the Chelsea first-team.

Holding his FIFA card from that season, Mount said it was "the start... coming back to England".

Ramsdale interjected and quipped, "With your dad... playing for your dad" - referring to Lampard.

Mount simply responded by saying, "Yep, yep" - agreeing with the comment and taking it in good humour.

The remark was of course related to the joke that Mount is Lampard's son and that he showed favouritism to him during their time together at Derby and Chelsea.

Lampard himself even addressed the "son" jibes in November 2020 in a Chelsea press conference and emphatically dismissed any talk of favourtism.

“He doesn’t do too many triple stepovers or flicks over the back of his head as he shouldn’t do," Lampard said. He makes really efficient, clean and sharp passes.

“He presses as well as any midfielder that I have worked or trained alongside and he does 100 things within his game that impresses the managers that he works for.

“It is very easy to say because he hasn’t got an Instagram reel of different flicks but it is a different type of football. It is easy to bracket him off and I don’t say that.

"When I say, I don’t want to fuel the fire of people saying Mason is my son, because I know he has got a lot to improve on. That’s what takes you onto his attitude and desire to improve.

He can score more goals, make more assists but he is a quality, quality footballer who is only going to get better. That’s how I feel about him.

“Mason Mount, nor any player in this squad, is going to get favouritism from me."

Mount, who many believe gets special treatment from England boss Gareth Southgate, shone under Lampard in his first season in the Chelsea first-team and has continued to improve under Thomas Tuchel.

He played an integral role in the club's second Champions League triumph and has won Chelsea's Player of the Year for the past two campaigns.
