Former New York mobster Franzese sat down with Tyson and dropped a bombshell hint that Iron Mike’s next opponent would be his former rival, according to EssentiallySports.

The 70-year-old American, who was a former capo for the Colombo crime family, suggested that the Tyson vs Lewis clash could happen in December.

Speaking on his Sit Down podcast, Franzese said: “He’s going to be fighting again in December. Lennox Lewis, and I can tell you he’s in great shape.”

Tyson went on to reveal that he would love to fight Brit superstars Anthony Joshua or Tyson Fury after the Lewis bout.

“I just want to get the exhibition over Lennox Lewis and probably my next one will be with Joshua or Tyson,” he added.

Speaking on Hotboxin' with Mike Tyson in April, the former heavyweight boxer named Lewis on his three-man wishlist for opponents he wanted to face in 2021.

“I want [Evander] Holyfield and I want Lennox Lewis this year,” Tyson said.

“I want both of them, I want to get them both this year. I also want to box an exhibition with Tyson Fury.

“If I do that -- even if I can get those two guys [Lewis and Holyfield], I’ll say, ‘This is a wrap, I’m just gonna live life.’

“And that’s just exhibitions. I’m gonna break all my professional true records with exhibitions.”
