Tyson Fury admitted how much money he has in the bank before Oleksandr Usyk fight

He will take on Usyk in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night.

Tyson Fury opened up on the amount of money he has in the bank ahead of Saturday night's much-anticipated heavyweight clash against Oleksandr Usyk.

The 36-year-old Wythenshawe-born boxer is one of the best heavyweight fighters of his generation, boasting a record of 36 fights, 34 wins, one draw and one defeat.

Fury’s only defeat came earlier in the year when he was dethroned by Usyk, who will be looking to defend his heavyweight crown in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

For that first fight, it is said the pair competed for a purse of around £115 million, according to talkSPORT, with Fury taking home a reported £85 million of that sum.

So how much does Fury have in the bank? Earlier this year, the boxer was asked to share his thoughts on former boxer Andy Lee saying it is hard to accept defeat.

He replied: "Andy Lee never had £200 million in his bank to make him happy, did he? So what is my goal, and what is my target?"

After revealing the eye-watering amount, he added: "It’s not a belt. It’s not a legacy. It’s not a boxing fight. It’s to make as much money as possible."

Fury also admitted that he wants to fight for as long as his body will let him.

"I’ve got to have as many fights as I can until the wheels fall off and I’m 50 years old, crippled with a stick, walking down the street. That’s how I’ll be," he said.

'The Gypsy King' later revealed that his first question about any fight is how much the pay cheque is.

"I’ve had 40 professional fights, and I was in every single one of them for the money," he added. "If I wasn’t getting paid, I wouldn’t have done any of them. I do it for the dough, but I’m the only one that will tell the truth."

When asked about how he would approach his rematch against Usyk, Fury said: “I do exactly the same thing, but don't get a standing count in round nine and I've won the fight comfortably. Yeah, I'm gonna change not getting a knockdown.

“I wasn't impressed because he's a boxer and that's what he's paid to do. He did his job and got a very small razor edge win, but as I've always said... winning by an inch or a mile is still winning.”
