A brutal Mike Tyson exercise that saw him build a 20-inch neck has resurfaced as he gears up for a possible fight with Floyd Mayweather.

The former heavyweight champion retired from professional boxing in 2005, before he made a dramatic return in 2024 to fight YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul.

Tyson lost the fight by unanimous decision, but the bout was a huge commercial success. It was streamed live on Netflix and attracted a huge 65 million viewers worldwide.

That figure made it one of the most watched sporting events in history. And now, speculation is growing that Tyson could step into the ring again, but this time against another legendary name in Mayweather.

Mayweather, who officially retired with a 50-0 record in when he defeated UFC star Conor McGregor, has not fought in a sanctioned fight since.

But he recently revealed that he is considering a comeback and told TMW: "There's been talks. There's been talks. It's possible.

“We just don’t know. But as of right now, everything is going great, and I feel good. Working hard every day and I can’t wait for 2026.”

Although nothing has been confirmed, reports suggest that spring 2026 is being targeted for the exhibition bout. Negotiations over financial terms and the potential venue are ongoing, but the hype has already started to build.

With anticipation rising, an old Tyson training video has resurfaced. In the clip, the former heavyweight can be seen performing the neck bridge exercise, rolling his neck around the floor.

Throughout his career, it was a workout that he used to perform regularly, as he built a 20 inch neck.

Tyson was known for incorporating several hundred neck bridges into his training sessions, working both sides of the neck. But the footage has sparked mixed reaction online.

Many fans have expressed concerned that the exercise is not safe.

On Reddit, @spiritchange wrote: "Isn't the general recommendation not to do these, these days because the closed chain movement is bad?

"There are tons of open chain movements that you can do to work out the neck."

Another fan, @SpartanTrident commented: "Do not do this! If you are young do not do this.

"There are better protocols. This destroys your neck, you will need surgery."

Other fans defended the decision and pointed out the benefit for athletes.

@CoffeeGhost31 said: "My friend in the army swore by these to pass tape tests. Dude had a pretty thick neck."
