
Mike Tyson has agreed to face Floyd Mayweather in a blockbuster exhibition, with both boxers issuing statements in the wake of the bombshell announcement.
Tyson and Mayweather have signed a deal to square off against one another, according to TMZ Sports.
The exhibition bout will be promoted by CSI Sports/Fight Sports.
A date and location has yet to be confirmed but it is currently scheduled for 'sometime in the spring of 2026'.

The 59-year-old took to social media to react to his bout against Mayweather.
He shared a poster, accompanied with the caption: "Coming soon."
Tyson said: "This fight is something neither the world nor I ever thought would or could happen. However, boxing has entered a new era of the unpredictable - and this fight is as unpredictable as it gets.
"I still can't believe Floyd wants to really do this," he continued. "It's going to be detrimental to his health, but he wants to do it, so it's signed and it's happening!"

Mayweather, 48, also issued a statement after agreeing to box Tyson.
He posted a video of himself counting a stack of money on a private jet.
Mayweather added: "I've been doing this for 30 years and there hasn't been a single fighter that can tarnish my legacy.

"You already know that if I am going to do something, it's going to be big and it’s going to be legendary. I'm the best in the business of boxing. This exhibition will give the fans what they want."

Tyson and Mayweather are no stranger to having exhibition bouts following their legendary professional careers.
'Iron' Mike fought fellow icon Roy Jones Jr. 2020, while the former pound-for-pound king has fought the likes of Logan Paul, Deji - KSI's brother - and Aaron Chalmers to name but a few.

Tyson hasn't fought since his controversial professional contest against Jake Paul, who scored a points victory in their 2024 clash.
As for Mayweather, he last fought when he took on John Gotti III, the grandson of former Gambino crime family boss John Gotti, in August 2024.
He hasn't fought professionally since beating UFC fighter Conor McGregor back in August 2017.
