Floyd Mayweather's proposed exhibition against Mike Tyson has been postponed as a respected boxing journalist has provided a major update.
Mayweather has a series of fights planned for 2026, including his professional comeback against Manny Pacquiao.
He will run it back with Pacquiao following their 'Fight of the Century' in 2015 in what will be his first pro outing since 2017 when he fought Conor McGregor.
Their rematch is set for September 19 in Las Vegas at the Sphere.

'Money' also has a planned exhibition against veteran Greek kickboxer Mike Zambidis in June, not to mention another exhibition against boxing legend Tyson on April 25 in Congo.
But, according to Dan Rafael, Tyson vs. Mayweather 'definitely' won't take place on that date.
On X, he wrote: "Been much discussion about the Mike Tyson-Floyd Mayweather exhibition taking place April 25 in Congo but, per source with knowledge of the plans, it definitely won't be that date. It will move to a later date & while it might be in Congo no site is set."

Given Mayweather's busy schedule, a date in May or July could work but anything later than that may see his bout against Tyson cancelled considering he will have a training camp for his September pro bout against Pacquiao.
'Iron' Mike, meanwhile, has been active in recent years, most notably resuming his iconic pro career with a heavyweight fight against Jake Paul, who scored a decision victory.
He also boxed fellow legend Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition bout in 2020.
Tyson was criticised for returning to action in a pro setting given his health scares, including an ulcer flare-up on a flight.

Despite calls for him to retire, Tyson insists his proposed showdown against Mayweather will happen.
Asked if his clash against the 49-year-old will happen, he told TMZ Sports: "Yeah, it’s happening. Sh*t, yeah, it’s happening!
"You think I’d give that up?! I was minding my business! He challenged me.
"We are going to party afterwards, baby! We’ll have a ball afterwards!"
On his health, the boxing icon added: "I feel incredible.
"Listen I was an extra large [pulls at t-shirt] but we are a large now."
