Ben Shalom tells Eddie Hearn 'don't talk s***' in extremely heated back and forth after egg slap incident

Rival promoters Ben Shalom and Eddie Hearn were involved in a heated argument after Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn's press conference.

On Tuesday evening, Eubank and Benn faced off during a fiery press conference in Manchester ahead of their fight at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on April 26.

The face-off escalated after Eubank slapped Benn across the face with an egg.

Benn was left fuming and had to be held back as members of the security team had to separate the two fighters.

Swiftly after the incident, Hearn was spotted shoving Shalom on the stage as tempers flared between the two camps.

After the situation cooled down, the two promoters were involved in a heated interview.

When asked if they were on good terms, Hearn, who promotes Benn, replied: "No, we are on good terms. I don't believe he didn't know about it (the egging)."

Shalom quickly chipped in: "You know I didn't," to which Hearn said: "No I don't, because you're a little bit snaky."

After Shalom again stated that he did not know about the stunt, he told Hearn: "Don't talk s***! You can't say things that aren't true."

A frustrated Hearn said: "I've been very nice to you lately, I've given you a big education these past few weeks.

"I've told you, you're very lucky to be talking to me."

The Matchroom boss added: "But the reality of it is, it's camp v camp. So I don't have any emotion towards this man. I just think it (the egging) was a b**** move."

Shalom then revealed that Eubank had not informed him about what he planned to do or say during the press conference.

He continued: "He wouldn't tell me, he wouldn't tell his girlfriend, he wouldn't tell his best friend. We know why now."

At this point, Hearn took the opportunity to aim another jibe at Shalom, he said: "You've got to have a closer relationship with your fighters. I'm a bit worried about you. He was the only man who knew about the egg. How did he smuggle it in? It was unbelievable.

"Next time I go up to him, I'm going to go, 'Alright Chris', and just try and pat the egg in there."
