Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury looks set to be signed after Turki Alalshikh's announcement on social media.
After Fury made easy work of Arslanbek Makhmudov at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier this month, Alalshikh jumped the gun and attempted to make the fight announcement as he called for Joshua and promoter Eddie Hearn to come into the ring.
Neither listened to the request and there ended up being a back and forth verbal joust between the two Brits, with Joshua calling Fury a "clout chaser" and refusing to commit to the fight as he waited for contracts to be signed.
However it appears as though the mammoth bout will be going ahead, with chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) Alalshikh claiming it is "happening" in a post on X on Monday.

Although he did not reference the fight, the Saudi government official wrote: "To my friends in Great Britain - it’s happening. It’s signed."
The Mirror say that the biggest fight in British boxing history, which has been a decade in waiting, may take place in November and allow Joshua to have a tune-up fight beforehand.
