WWE have taken drastic action by terminating a superstar's contract following comments made on social media.
According to thesmackdownhotel.com, there have been a total of 64 exits from WWE in 2025 after a slew of stars were cut from the roster at various different stages, including after WrestleMania, in August and in October when a raft of releases were announced.
One of the recent confirmed departures was Ridge Holland, who was told he would not be getting a new contract by WWE and would therefore enter free agency when his deal finished on November 14.
Holland's exit news came at the worst possible time as he had just suffered a broken foot performing for WWE's partner brand TNA and was facing an extended spell on the sidelines.

He announced his contract would not be getting a renewal back in October, confirming that WWE would still cover his surgery costs and and rehab during his expected six-month lay-off.

However, in a more recent post, Holland, real name Menzies, vented about his situation and worries about struggling to provide for his family and pay his mortgage.
With his guaranteed pay coming to an end, the former rugby league star said he feels "hung out to dry" and is now "totally f***ed".
“I never thought I’d not be able to pay my mortgage," he fumed on his official X account.
"I feel like I’ve just been hung out to dry after getting injured working for another company on behalf of WWE. Add to that my contract not being renewed knowing that I wouldn’t be able to wrestle for 7 months. This is brutal.
"Yes they are taking care of the surgery and physical therapy but let’s be honest, that’s the bare minimum after what we sacrifice for the company.
"Plus the possibility of having to get my neck fused too. Talk about getting totally f***ed.”
The outburst created huge traction but in a new development, Fightful reported that WWE have moved to terminate Holland's contract around a week earlier then it was due to expire.
The outlet, citing WWE sources, said that the sports entertainment giant "considered some of his recent posts a breach" and so ultimately decided to administer a premature release.
After making the transition from professional rugby, Holland spent seven years in WWE - winning the NXT tag team championship in August.

On his social media platforms, he has been posting that he is now officially open for media and signings bookings "effective immediately" as he looks to fill up his calendar.
He is poised to set up his own coaching business for extra income while sidelined.
SPORTbible has approached WWE for comment.
