Cody Rhodes gave WrestleMania 40 opponents The Rock and Roman Reigns an expensive gift

Cody Rhodes gave WrestleMania 40 opponents The Rock and Roman Reigns an expensive gift

Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes surprised The Rock and Roman Reigns by gifting them the same item.

Cody Rhodes may be involved in a bitter feud with The Rock and Roman Reigns but he gave his WrestleMania 40 opponents the same expensive gift.

Rhodes teamed with Seth Rollins against the real life cousins in the main event of night one at Lincoln Financial Field.

The tag team bout lasted more than 40 minutes and saw the Bloodline prevail after the returning Rock, with his new 'Final Boss' persona, pinned Rhodes with the People's Elbow.

The victory has huge implications for the night two main event as Reigns' second consecutive WrestleMania undisputed championship defence against Rhodes will be contested under 'Bloodline Rules'.

The rivalry has been bloody and brutal on screen but behind the scenes, Rhodes has produced a classy gesture.

The American Nightmare splashed out on custom-made, matching Rolex watches for all those involved in Saturday night's main event.

Rhodes showed off the bling on Ariel Helwani's MMA hour, revealing that he also bought one for Rollins, with the watch having the number '40' engraved.

The back-to-back Royal Rumble winner also added that there were "more than two" handed out but refused to elaborate further.

He said: "I was really excited to give it to him because we will forever be competitive against one another, but we don’t have to not be respectful and even friends, we can be that.

"My dad [Dusty Rhodes] and Ric Flair were at each other’s throats for years, two decades. They were at their best when they were at each other’s throats competitively, but they remained loving and respectful.”

However, at the Hall of Fame ceremony on Friday, Reigns appeared to be sporting the very same timepiece on his wrist as he inducted special counsel Paul Heyman.

After losing at WrestleMania 40 last year, Rhodes looks to finally finish his story by ending Reigns' historic title reign.

The odds are stacked against him though and The Rock teased "big surprises" in the post-show press conference.
