Elanga made his debut for Manchester United back in May of 2021 against Leicester City under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

He made a real impression on the squad during the 2021 pre-season, scoring a couple of goals, including a lovely finish against Brentford, and went on to score eight goals and provide five assists that season.

He was particularly impressive under Ralf Rangnick, who blocked the player from departing on loan in January 2022 after the young Swede impressed in training.

Elanga has shown himself to be an incredibly dedicated character, and almost broke a world record for a box jump, clocking in at jumping 63 inches. The video can be viewed below.

After an impressive breakthrough season, Elanga has now been nominated for the 2022 Golden Boy award.

The list includes some of the most famous young names in football, such as Eduardo Camavinga, Jude Bellingham and Pedri.

Manchester United's last victor of the Golden Boy award was Anthony Martial, who won the award back when he signed for the club in 2015.

Elanga has played seven times for United so far this season and is clearly part of Erik ten Hag's plans, with the young forward mostly making impact off the bench.
