MMA star Justin Gaethje has been cleared to fight and will face no medical suspension after his sensational victory over Tony Ferguson at UFC 249.
The 31-year-old American put on a sensational performance last Saturday en route to stopping Ferguson in the fifth and capturing the interim UFC lightweight championship.
And now the Florida State Boxing Commission, which oversaw the UFC 249 at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, has not handed down a medical suspension to Gaethje.
Ferguson, who saw his 12-fight winning streak come to an end, was left a bloody mess from the Gaethje fight and suffered a broken orbital bone.
According to MMA Junkie, 'El Cucuy' will be ruled out of action for a minimum of 60 days due to his medical suspension.
But the publication does suggest that the former interim lightweight champ could receive a longer ban pending further medical tests.
