Jorge Masvidal has volunteered to fight UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman after Gilbert Burns was forced out of UFC 251 due to a positive COVID-19 test.
Burns has tested positive for COVID-19 and is out of his championship bout with Usman at UFC 251 on July 11.
The Brazilian contender took to social media to react to the devastating news.
On Twitter, he wrote: "Devastating news, not feeling well but I'm going to win this battle! Stay safe out there! Much love."

Masvidal was originally supposed to face Usman at UFC 251 until he was unable to strike a deal with Dana White, who ultimately booked Usman vs. Burns.
But White may now meet Masvidal's financial demands if he wants to salvage UFC 251's main-event.
