Lesnar is currently a free agent after not re-signing with the WWE last month and a return to the octagon has been rumoured.
One opponent for 'The Beast Incarnate' could be Jones, who is ready to step up to the heavyweight division.
WWE Hall of Famer Angle told the Wrestling Inc podcast: "Brock's told me that several times, that's who he wants... I think that might be the only way to get Brock to fight.
"I think he just wants Jones."
It lines up with what the Olympic gold medalist told Ariel Helwani back in 2019: "I know he said that he's retired.
"The one fight he wants, and I don't know if it's ever going to happen, but he wants to go up against Jon Jones."
UFC president Dana White admitted he would consider bringing the 43-year-old back if he was 'seriously interested' in fighting.
When asked about Lesnar vs Jones, White replied: "It would be a good introduction for Jones into the heavyweight division. If they wanted to do it, I would do it."

Jones relinquished his light heavyweight title last month and is keen to solidify himself as the pound-for-pound GOAT.
'Bones' is eager to mix it up in the heavyweight division and he knows he'll have to be at the top of his game.
He took to Instagram to show off his physique earlier this week and captioned the image: "New weight class. Same team."
Jones is eager to face off with a whole host of new opponents including Francis Ngannou and current heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic.
The 33-year-old isn't expected back in the cage this year and his last action came back in February, when he defeated Dominick Reyes at UFC 247.
Who do you think Jon Jones will face in his first heavyweight fight?
