Brock Lesnar tipped to come out of retirement for monstrous fight at UFC 300

Brock Lesnar tipped to come out of retirement for monstrous fight at UFC 300

Brock Lesnar hasn't fought in the UFC since July 2016.

Brock Lesnar has been backed to make a sensational appearance at UFC 300 in a blockbuster fight.

Lesnar, who has competed at UFC 100 and UFC 200, hasn't been involved in MMA since his controversial bout against Mark Hunt back in July 2016.

He beat Mark Hunt at UFC 200, but the result was overturned after he tested positive for banned substance clomiphene.

'The Beast Incarnate' returned to the WWE, where he is still one of the biggest stars in the company.

Despite not competing inside the famed Octagon for almost eight years, Lesnar has been tipped to fight Tom Aspinall on April 13.

UFC legend Michael Bisping believes the 46-year-old will be on the UFC 300 card and likes the idea of him facing current interim title holder Aspinall, who is looking for a fight amid Jon Jones' injury.

Aspinall beat Sergei Pavlovich at UFC 295 to claim the interim UFC heavyweight title, and a defence of the belt could be scheduled as No.1 contender Stipe Miocic waits for 'Bones'.

Bisping thinks Aspinall should welcome Lesnar back to the MMA promotion.

"UFC 300, will we see Brock Lesnar on there again,” the Brit said on his YouTube channel.

"It sounds stupid because Brock Lesnar is no spring chicken. He’s 46 years old, but remember Randy Couture fought on to the ripe old age of about 47.

"Fighters have gone on longer. Guess what? When there’s millions of dollars on the line, people will come and fight. And people would love to see Brock Lesnar stepping in there once again."

The ex-UFC middleweight champion added: "Who would really push the needle in a massive way? Brock Lesnar. He's only 46, he’s still a draw, people love him.

"The UFC and the WWE, they’re both owned by the same parent company now. So, I would imagine that the politics and the contractual stuff that would be pretty easy waters to navigate.

"I can’t see that being a hurdle. But who would the opponent be?"

'The Count' then pushed for Aspinall vs. Lesnar, saying: "Call me crazy. Call me Tom Aspinall’s number one fanboy, but could you imagine Brock Lesnar vs. Tom Aspinall headlining UFC 300?

"Maybe it’s just wishful thinking. But Tom Aspinall-Brock Lesnar, that would just be mental. That is the type of thing I think the UFC are going to do."
