Daniel Cormier has finally addressed the shocking leaked messages he allegedly received from Donald Trump's son, Eric.
In the early hours of Monday morning, the UFC held perhaps the most significant event in the MMA organisation's history on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington DC.
The event was held to celebrate both the 250th anniversary of the USA's independence and President Trump’s 80th birthday, with millions tuning in to watch.
In the main event, popular fighter Justin Gaethje secured one of the biggest upsets in recent UFC history as he claimed the lightweight title after defeating former unbeaten champion Ilia Topuria via TKO.

Before that, former middleweight and light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira failed to become the UFC's first three-weight champion as Ciryl Gane knocked him out in the second round to claim the interim heavyweight title.
But, despite some of the event finishing with seven knockouts in seven fights, the biggest drama came away from the octagon itself as alleged screenshots of a social media conversation between UFC legend Cormier and Eric Trump emerged online.
In the leaked messages, Trump said that he was looking forward to seeing Cormier for the event, before asking him for any inside information regarding fighter injuries or any other betting tips.
Eventually, Trump cut to the chase and asked the former UFC champion if any of the fights on the White House card had been rigged, prompting Cormier to allegedly share the DMs on his social media account, before swiftly deleting the post.

However, since the messages emerged online, their validity have been called into question, with many fans suggesting they could be altered or completely fake.
And now, Cormier himself has addressed the leaked DMS, confirming that they are not real while claiming that his social media accounts had been hacked.
“They are not real,” Cormier said when asked about his X post by Nicholas Ballasy.
“I can’t believe you guys believed that. Who believes that?
“I got hacked or something. Who believes stuff like that? That’s crazy.”
When asked directly if he had been the one to post the seemingly fake messages, Cormier replied: “No. Why would I do that?"
Before adding that people who claim to have seen the leaked messages posted on his social media accounts were 'absolutely' wrong.
The comments came after Cormier initially took to social media simply asking: "Are people really this dumb?"

Cormier's comments come after Trump posted his own response to the viral leaked messages, confirming he had seen them but claiming that they were completely false and that he had never even messaged the UFC commentator.
“This is completely fake! I have never reached out to Daniel. In fact, this is scary,” he posted on X.
“We are aware of the fake, AI-generated screenshots being circulated online,” Trump added.
“I have never spoken to Daniel. He has since deleted his post, which confirms it was clearly fabricated."
In another post, he added: "This did not happen. They were AI generated. Please be careful with reporting."
Later, he reposted Cormier's social media response to the messages as well as the clip of Cormier's comments to Ballasy with messages of thanks.
