Dana White returned to his UFC 329 post-show press conference to address a wild conspiracy theory about Conor McGregor's comeback fight.
McGregor stepped foot inside the Octagon for the first time in five years on Saturday night to take on Max Holloway, but it was all over within 69 seconds.
'The Notorious' suffered a serious knee injury in the opening exchanges inside the T-Mobile Arena.
Holloway was given a TKO victory after watching McGregor limp around the cage, seconds after failing to connect with a jumping roundhouse kick.
Advert
Naturally, McGregor looked devastated. His half-decade absence came after breaking his leg against long-time rival Dustin Poirier. Another lengthy injury lay-off at this age could spell the end of his MMA career.
In a statement posted to X, the 37-year-old described himself as being 'in hell'.
He said: "My head gasket is gone. Destroyed. I had no injury / injuries going into the fight. I was throwing kicks, planted and jumping, all throughout camp as well as backstage before the fight. This came out of nowhere. I am beyond dark here. I can only describe it as hell."
White addresses conspiracy theory
Footage of McGregor making his entrance has seen MMA fans suggest he was walking into the contest with a pre-existing injury. He appeared to struggle to take his shoes off, although it could've been as simple as losing his balance.
A journalist decided to ask UFC president White about it and he initially didn't answer. However, he opted to return and directly take on the question, suggesting McGregor was not suffering from any injury pre-fight.
"So, we were talking about the guy over here earlier, asking about a pre-injury," White said after returning to the room with papers in hand. "Just on my accounts, the face-off [Between McGregor and Holloway] that day is at 80million views. If there was a pre-existing injury, somebody would've noticed it. He ran right at him. I don't think there was, anything is possible, but he sure didn't look like it. For 80million, and that's just by my counting, that number's got to be massive. And nobody noticed anything. So, there you go."

Holloway wants to run it back one more time
Despite coming away with a victory, Holloway declared there's still unfinished business with McGregor.
He and the Irishman are now 1-1 in their series as McGregor came out on top in their first encounter in 2013.
"You guys are lucky because there is going to be a Holloway v McGregor 3 now," 'Blessed' declared.
"It is what it is. I'll sit down with the UFC. There was so much hype for that. We have to run it back one more time. We need one more.
"I was looking forward to this. I was working hard to get to 170lb and fight this guy. For it to end like this, it sucks."
McGregor still has one fight remaining on his UFC contract. It remains to be seen how impacted his future career plans are by this injury.
