UFC president Dana White may have accidentally dropped a major update surrounding Conor McGregor's return fight.
McGregor hasn't fought inside the Octagon since July 2021, when he suffered a loss via doctor's stoppage to Dustin Poirier.
The Irishman suffered a broken leg in the fight and, despite making a full recovery, a return still isn't on the immediate horizon.
He was due to take on Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in June 2024, but pulled out after suffering an injury during his training camp.

Later that year, he was issued with an 18-month ban from fighting for failing to disclose his whereabouts for drug testing on three different occasions.
McGregor re-entered the USADA's mandatory anti-doping pool in 2025 in order to compete in the UFC, and spoke of his desire to fight on the upcoming UFC Freedom 250 card at the White House this summer.

The Irishman wasn't a part of the card announced by UFC president White earlier this month, however.
He has since been called out by Max Holloway for a future fight, with Holloway claiming that weight is 'not an issue'.
But White has publicly spoken about a possible fight between McGregor and fellow Irish fighter Ian Garry, who competes in the welterweight division.
He went as far as addressing that the fight would not take place in Dublin - appearing to indicate that it is indeed a major possibility.
Speaking at a UFC London post-fight press conference, White was asked by a reporter about whether the UFC would come back to Ireland soon given that it has Garry and, soon, McGregor within its ranks.
White replied: "That's a great question... definitely not with those fights [McGregor and Garry].
"But yes, I love Ireland too. I'd love to go back to Dublin, do a show there, and we're definitely taking Zuffa Boxing to Ireland too.
"But the Conor-Garry fight won't be in Ireland."
Garry, 28, is currently number two in the UFC welterweight rankings.
He defeated Belal Muhammad at UFC Fight Night in Qatar back in November, winning via unanimous decision after three rounds.
Along with McGregor, he is the most successful UFC fighter in the promotion's history, having won 10 matches across his career.
