Conor McGregor has issued a response to leaked plans for the UFC White House event amid speculation over his long-awaited return to MMA.
McGregor one of the most well-known fighters throughout the history of the UFC, but has not fought inside the Octagon since 2021.
His overall MMA record stands at 22 wins and six losses from 28 matches in total.
Some 19 of McGregor's victories have come by knockout, with two on decision and one by submission.

But the 'Notorious' has experienced half of his six MMA defeats in his last four fights.
Defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 was followed by victory against Donald Cerrone at UFC 246 as the Notorious bounced back.

However, this was followed by back-to-back defeats against Dustin Poirier, the most recent of which was in July 2021 at UFC 264.

McGregor had been due to take on Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in June 2024 for his comeback, but the welterweight bout was cancelled after the Irishman suffered a broken toe.
Since then, speculation has swirled over the prospect of the 37-year-old stepping back into the Octagon again and whom the former double UFC champion might face.
And UFC President Dana White has confirmed that there are plans to hold an event at the White House in Washington DC, with a date of July 4, 2026, now pencilled in.

Speaking last month in a video he posted on social media, White said: "It was a great day. I'm about to take off here from Washington, DC.
"The White House fight is on. I will have more details on that in the next couple weeks. We got it done today."
Since White's announcement, fresh details have emerged about what the UFC White House event will look like.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the event in the US capital was due to take place on July 4 - Independence Day - but has now moved back into June due to logistical reasons.

Weigh-ins for the fights will reportedly take place at the Lincoln Memorial, with fighters to actually warm up for their fights in the White House itself.
The Octagon itself will be set up on the South Lawn at the White House, with giant screens to show the action to MMA fans, while fireworks and light shows will be part of the event's entertainment.
And McGregor himself has now responded to the reported UFC White House plans to further build momentum behind his potential return with a simple two-word statement suggesting he will indeed be back in the Octagon.
On social media platform X, he simply wrote in block capitals: "McGregor's return!"
