Scientists have claimed that every person in the world has about six people who look like them but two baseball players were forced to take a DNA test after having a striking resemblance to one another.

Quite incredibly, both men are call Brady Feigl and they are both 6 ft 4 in height.

That's not all though, as they also have have ginger hair and a ginger beard.

The duo also have the same thick glasses that you may mistake for safety goggles in science class, and yet somehow it gets weirder.

They both play the same position in baseball; with one a pitcher for Pittsburgh Pirates and the younger Brady Feigl previously turning out for Oakland Athletic.

But even spookier, they also both had Ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction on their elbow performed by the same very doctor called James Andrews - which is what first led to them being mistaken for one another back in 2015.

Fast forward a couple of years in 2017 and the University of Missouri’s baseball team tagged the wrong Feigl on Twitter when wishing him a happy birthday.

“Wrong Brady Feigl. Might be looking for @bfeigl39…” the younger Brady Feigl replied.

"Outside of their families they had never met anyone with the same surname but Inside Edition paired them together to get the answers they'd been looking for.

They did a DNA test, filled out a questionnaire about their lives and participated in three different facial recognition programs.

However, the test revealed that they were not in fact secret siblings after all and their shared characteristics were merely coincidental.

Yet a big takeaway was that the doppelgangers both had German roots and registered 53 percent Germanic origin.

And though they are not related biologically, the pair concluded that they are "still brothers in a way" after meeting one another.
