The reason that the Green Bay Packers are wearing all white against the Washington Commanders has been revealed.
After opening their season with a 27-13 victory over the Detroit Lions, the Packers return to action on Thursday Night Football as they look to continue their strong start. For the clash, they will step out onto the field in striking all-white uniforms with accompanying helmets.
The move is part of the franchise's 'winter warning' promotion. Although it is still the first half of September, with the game scheduled for Thursday night football, the franchise decided it was a good opportunity for the promotion.
The idea is to transform both the field and stands into a sea of white, with the Packers also encouraging supporters to wear white. The aim? To create a unified aesthetic between the pitch and the spectators that will stand out for those at Lambeau Park and anyone watching on television.
