Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr head coach has criticised the American government following the death of Renee Nicole Good.
Ahead of their NBA clash with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Minnesota Timberwolves decided to hold a moment of silence to reflect on the death of Good earlier in the week.
Good, 37, was shot and killed by a United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Wednesday.
During the moments of silence, fans decided to share their thoughts on the incident, cheering and supporting a fan who had shouted for ICE to 'go home' and leave the city.

And now, Golden State Warriors head coach Kerr has opened up on his thoughts on the matter, slamming the US government in a passionate statement.

Although American President Donald Trump has claimed that the ICE agent who shot Good was acting in self-defence while blaming the 'radical left' for the killing of the mother of three, the incident has sparked outrage across the world.
Many, including Kerr, feel that Trump and other government officials have intentionally misinformed the public about what happened to defend the ICE agent that shot and killed Good.

"Well, I'm glad that the Timberwolves recognised her life and the tragic nature of her death," Kerr said ahead of the Warriors' match with the Sacramento Kings.
"It's shameful, really, that in our country, we can have law enforcement officers who commit murder and seemingly get away with it."
He added: "It's shameful that the government can come out and lie about what happened when there's video and witnesses who have all come out and disputed what the government is saying."
"So, very demoralising. Devastating to lose anyone's life, especially in that manner. So, it's terrible. Terribly sad for her family, for her, and for that city. And I'm glad the Timberwolves came out and expressed that sadness."

According to Trump's administration, Good tried to run over the ICE officer in an act of "domestic terrorism" after blocking the road and impeding the agency's work.
However, Democratic Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey has described that view as "garbage" based on the available video footage, with several eye witnesses insisting that she posed no danger to the ICE agents.
Investigations remain ongoing, with ICE agents still working in the city in what the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has described as the "largest DHS operation ever".
