Steph Curry Issues Statement After Ugly Draymond Green Incident With Steve Kerr

The Golden State Warriors star was forced to speak out about the incident.

Steph Curry has spoken out after Warriors' teammate Draymond Green was involved in a heated incident with coach Steve Kerr.

In the early hours of Tuesday morning, the Golden State Warriors picked up a win over Orlando Magic at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

The result is the Warriors' 15th win of the season, leaving them 8th in the Western Conference standings while Orlando Magic are 6th in the Eastern Conference.

However, the win for the Warriors' was overshadowed by a controversial moment during the match that saw star player Green storm off the court following an argument with the team's coach, Kerr.

And now, NBA great Curry has spoken out about the controversial incident, revealing his true feelings towards the situation and how it has impacted the team.

The heated exchange between Green and Kerr happened during an early third-quarter timeout in the match, called by Kerr with The Warriors trailing 71-66, shortly after Green was arguing with an official having committed a turnover moments earlier.

Following their on-court argument, Green decided to storm off to the lockers meaning he spent the final 20 minutes of the win sitting on the bench.

"We had it out a little bit," Kerr said post-match. "He made his decision to go back to the locker room to cool off. That's all I'm going to say about it. Everything is private."

Like Kerr, when asked to comment on the moment, Curry decided to play things down, saying that it wasn't really his place to speak about what had happened.

"Just having a good conversation, it's kind of for them to talk about, not me," he said.

However, Curry did go on to share his thoughts on Green's behaviour when asked if it could have a lasting impact of his role as a leader within the team.

"I don't think so, I don't know, I know he came up here and talked about it," Curry replied.

"I haven't had a chance to talk to him, so I'm pretty sure we know how to be professional about it."

It is unclear if Green will face any kind of punishment from the Golden State Warriors for his actions during the match ahead of their next game.

The Warriors' return to the court late on Thursday night for a Christmas Day home match against the Dallas Mavericks.
