The NBA has set an example for what punishment Steve Kerr could face after he was ejected during the Golden State Warriors' game against the LA Clippers.
The Clippers beat the Warriors 103-102 in a thrilling match on Monday.
Kawhi Leonard had 24 points and 12 rebounds and rookie Kobe Sanders added 20 points as the Clippers edged past the Warriors.
Steph Curry scored 27 points but was just four for 15 from 3-point range and nine for 23 overall before fouling out with 42 seconds remaining in the game. He fouled out for the first time since December 2021.

The match in Inglewood also saw Warriors coach Kerr get ejected for arguing calls.
At 7:57 of the fourth quarter, Kerr was ejected after officials missed a goaltend on Warriors' Gary Payton II's layup attempt by Clippers' forward John Collins.
Kerr exploded on the side and had to be restrained by Payton and assistant coach Terry Stotts as he ranted at referee Brian Forte, leading to the quick technicals before being ejected.

Stotts replaced Kerr for the post-game media obligations, including the presser.
"I'm up here because I'm saving Steve some money,” Stotts said, with a smirk. "That's the only reason I'm here."
Hinting at other missed calls, he added: "There were probably some other things, but that was probably the last straw."
If previous sanctions are anything to go by, then Kerr could face a hefty monetary punishment.

Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch was hit with a $35,000 fine for a similar outburst during last month's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Finch was enraged by physical play early in the game when fouls were not called against Thunder players.

He was given a pair of technical fouls and subsequently ejected before the midway point of the opening quarter.
The fine was imposed for inappropriate language towards the officials and failing to leave the court in a timely manner.
So, Kerr could be facing a similar fine following his ejection during his side's clash at the Intuit Dome on Monday.
