Steph Curry's wife has revealed she's 'always in therapy' as she made a revelation about their marriage.

The NBA icon and his wife Ayesha started dating in 2008, before they got married in 2011 and they now have four children together. They welcomed their first daughter Riley in 2012, followed by another daughter Ryan in 2015.

Their first son Canon arrived in 2018, before they had another boy called Caius in 2024. But in a recent episode of the podcast Call Her Daddy, Ayesha revealed that earlier in life she wanted to focus on her career rather than family life.

During the early stage of her career, she received minor roles in several short films and later followed a career in food. She became a restaurateur and chef, released her own cookbook and went on to present The Great American Baking Show, a spin-off of the popular UK version.

Ayesha Curry said: "I didn't want kids. I didn't want to get married.

"I thought I was going to be a career girl, and that's it, and I had my eyes set on my goals, and I was never the little girl that dreamt about the wedding dress and all of that and then it happened so early in my life.

She explained that her husband had tried to understand her perspective, but had struggled to understand how she was feeling. Curry continued: "After we got married, we found out we were pregnant with our daughters so quickly, I didn't even have time to think about what I wanted anymore. It's so interesting.

"I spent my entire life like trying to work towards something, and then it just kind of disappeared, and I didn't think twice about it.

"But after my daughter turned one, I remember there being a shift and being like 'I have goals for myself, this doesn't feel right, I love being a mum but I love doing other things too.

"And I need to get my s**t together and figure out what that looks like for myself. I'm always in therapy talking about this."

Meanwhile, Steph Curry is currently preparing for the new NBA season with the Golden State Warriors.

He featured for 15 minutes in their first pre-season game as they defeated the Los Angeles Lakers.

The 37-year-old will also have the opportunity to play alongside his brother, after Seth signed an Exhibit 9 contract with the Warriors.

The Warriors begin their NBA campaign on October 21, when they travel to Los Angeles to face the Lakers again.
