OnlyFans model Sophie Rain has hit back at doubters by proving she makes an annual salary that rivals NBA legend LeBron James.
Across all of professional sports, it is well known that if you can make it to the very top of the game then you can earn some seriously impressive wages.
In the Premier League, top earner Erling Haaland is believed to take home around £500,000 a week thanks to his impressive Manchester City contract which runs until 2034,
Meanwhile in the USA, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry's 2023/24 salary saw him became the first NBA player to earn over $50million in salary, with a pay totalling $51.9m (£40.85m)

However, there is one career that can rival the wages earned by professional athletes, modelling on OnlyFans, a fact that popular model Rain has recently proved.

Back in February, Rain made a shocking claim on social media, stating that she had posted she had made $50m (£37m) in the two years since she started modelling on OnlyFans, where she post x-rated content.
Of course, her claims were almost immediately disputed on social media, prompting her to verify her claims while appearing in a recent video with YouTube personality David Dobrik.

In the video, the 20-year-old gives Dobrik access to her OnlyFans dashboard, revealing she had made just under $83m in gross earnings across a single year.
“No one believes me,” Rain told Dobrik in the clip. “I’m paranoid it could all disappear tomorrow.”
If both of the model's disclosed earning are to be believed, then she added more than $30m (£22.18m) since February, working out at roughly $26,000 (£19,226) an hour.
After the YouTube vlogger reassured Rain that her massive earnings would not disappear in one day, she compared her recent earnings to that of NBA legend LeBron James.

“I almost made more than LeBron last year. He made $56 million, I made $43 million," Rain claimed.
Despite the fact that a report from ESPN states that James’ 2024–25 salary is actually closer to $49m, more than the amount Rain stated, her overall claim of earning $82.9 million still massively exceeds James’ on-court earnings.
However, once James' various endorsements and other brand deals are considered, it reamins possible that James could earn the same or more than the OnlyFans star.

Regardless, Rain made it clear that she intends to keep adding to her annual earnings, hoping to reach a nine-figure year in the near future.
“I want to make $100 million,” she told Dobrik.
