LeBron James has paid tribute to his son Bronny amid rumours that he could make a major retirement announcement.
The NBA legend posted a short cryptic video on X, captioned: "The decision of all decisions. October 7th. 12pm EST. #TheSecondDecision."
It has sparked wild speculation ahead of the new NBA season, with many fans wondering whether James is preparing to retire or make a major career move. Basketball fans were quick to liken it to 'The Decision,' which was a TV show in 2010 where James revealed he would leave the Cleveland Cavaliers and join Miami Heat.
But NBA reporter Brett Siegel suggested that the post could be linked to a commercial project rather than a basketball decision.

On X, he posted yesterday (6 October): "For those wondering, LeBron James has a big deal with Amazon, and Prime Day starts tomorrow. Not a coincidence."
While Amazon's main Prime Day is held in July, the company also has a second event called Prime Big Deal Day in October.
James previously appeared in an Amazon advert, and many fans now believe that his teaser is linked to that partnership. But speculation around his future continues, especially given he wants to play alongside his son Bronny in Los Angeles.

The pair made history last year, when they became the first father and son to ever play together in the NBA.
To mark Bronny's 21st birthday, James posted two videos of him playing basketball as a child.
He captioned it: "Man o man where do I start! These two videos simply speak for themselves. From day 1 you’ve always set out goals and have accomplished them because you’ve always been driven!

The Lakers are currently two games into their pre-season schedule and have lost to the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors.
The team is being careful with James' workload and the 40-year-old has already missed pre-season sessions due to an irritation in his glute.
The Lakers still have another four warm up matches before they get their season underway on October 21 against the Golden State Warriors.
Although they are not one of the favourites to make the NBA Finals, James will hope that he can inspire the team in one of his final seasons.
