Michael Jordan didn't hesitate when asked if Steph Curry should be in the NBA Hall of Fame

Michael Jordan has already delivered his verdict on whether Steph Curry belongs in the NBA Hall of Fame.

Curry has enjoyed a decorated career at the very top level of professional basketball and recently helped Team USA to yet another Olympic gold medal.

A four-time NBA champion, Curry is seen as one of the best ever point guards to play the game but Jordan is not so sure and believes there is one player he would rank above him in the point guard rankings.

Asked back in 2020 whether Curry deserves a place in the NBA's Hall of Fame, Jordan issued a bold take.

"I hope not. He's still a great player. Not a Hall of Famer yet, though," Jordan said. "He's not."

It is worth noting Curry's success after 2020, with the Golden State Warriors having endured a rough patch at the time.

Since then, Curry was especially impressive as his side won the NBA title in 2022, breaking records left, right and centre.

He has also been named the NBA All Star every year since 2021. Some feat to say the least.

The NBA poster boy may not have been in Jordan's Hall of Fame back then, but we're sure he is in with a shot four years on.

He was also in fine form at the recent Olympic games in Paris, scoring 24 points in the final to help the US overcome hosts France.

Curry sank three three-pointers inside the final two minutes to take the game away from the French, proving his unrivalled ability to show up when the pressure is on.

"I think I’m good, but then I’m never complacent,” Curry told Sole Collector after Jordan's comments.

“I know I have more to prove to myself.

"When you hear a guy like that who’s the greatest of all time, it’s kind of funny.

"Since we’ve been on this stage, we’ve heard a lot of retired guys chiming in on this generation of basketball player and evaluating talent and saying their generation was better and all that.

"It’s a great conversation for the fans to get in on.

"I know I’m in good shape for that, but I still have a lot to prove to myself.”
