Steph Curry broke yet another long-standing NBA record previously held by Michael Jordan, despite the Golden State Warriors suffering a 136-131 defeat to the Portland Trail Blazers.
The loss leaves the Warriors eighth in the Western Conference with a 13-14 record for the season so far.
With 55 games still remaining, Golden State will be targeting a top-six finish to avoid the play-in tournament.
Warriors fans would have hoped that Curry's return from injury on Friday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves would help kick-start their season.
However, the team is still struggling for consistency and has failed to win more than five games across any 10-game stretch this year.
Despite Curry scoring 39 points on his return against the Timberwolves, the Warriors fell to a 127-120 defeat.

Although the Warriors have struggled for momentum, Curry has continued to break records.
His 39-point performance on Friday saw him move clear of Jordan for the most 35-point games by a player aged 30 or older.
Following Sunday's match, Curry has now reached that scoring mark in 95 games, compared to Jordan's 93.
Curry's performance against the Trail Blazers means he now also holds the record for the most 40-point games since turning 30.
He has achieved that feat on 45 occasions, surpassing Jordan's total of 44.

After the game in Portland, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr voiced his frustration with the result.
He said: “When you make 24 threes, Steph makes 12 of them, you should win the game.
“And, obviously, we couldn’t stop [the Blazers]. They made 20 threes themselves.”
At 37, Curry is approaching the end of his career, but he has continued to remind fans of his enduring quality.
The four-time NBA champion and two-time MVP is also the only player in history to make more than 4,000 three-pointers.
With his contract at Golden State set to expire in 2027, Curry may have just one more season after the current campaign to add another championship.
However, with the Warriors winning only four of their last 10 games, a dramatic upturn in form will be required if they are to win their first title since 2022.
