Michael Jordan rejected an eye-watering $100 million offer for a two-hour appearance.
The NBA legend, one of the biggest and most marketable stars in all of sports, has made huge money from a slew of endorsements.
But the Chicago Bulls icon wouldn't just turn up for any old appearance even it was easy money, as his agent has revealed.
David Falk, Jordan's representative, has shed light on some of the opportunities Jordan has said no during his time working for him.
Speaking to WFAN, the 58-year-old said: "[Jordan] turned down a deal to do a one-day golf appearance when he was in Asia a few years ago for a pre-season game with Charlotte.
"And some woman in the Philippines offered me seven million dollars for one day, wanted him to play in a golf tournament. And he turned it down.
“I brought him a deal three years ago for 100 million dollars.
"And all he had to do, other than give his name and likeness, was make one two-hour appearance to announce the deal. And he turned it down.”
Jordan, a six-time NBA champion, has well and truly transcended basketball and changed the game with his Nike arrangement.
As per Forbes, the Air Jordan sub-brand sees the five-time MVP collect £105 million-per-year.
Since 2018, French football giants Paris Saint-Germain have partnered with the Jordan range - with the logo now visible on their home jerseys this season for the first time.
The monumental capture of Lionel Messi brought record-breaking shirt sales and led to Jordan making a whopping £5 million in just a week.
That's because Jordan negotiated a deal whereby his brand would take five per cent from every shirt sale.
In the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Jordan brand lost 24 per cent of its value and the 58-year-old's net worth went from $2.1 billion dollars to $1.6 billion.
However, with PSG estimated 2.5 million Messi shirt sales over the season, it should increase in next-to-no time.
