LeBron James earns a staggering amount per minute on his lucrative Los Angeles Lakers contract compared to his son.

Bronny James linked up with his legendary father last summer in the 2024 NBA Draft.

The 20-year-old was selected by the Lakers with the 55th overall pick as they became the first-ever father-son duo to be in the NBA at the same time.

On teaming up with LeBron, the youngster said: "I just want to come in and get my work in and get better every day. I never really had a thought of me going to play with my dad. That’s always there to take part of, but it wasn’t a main focus of mine."

He signed a four-year deal worth a cool $7.9 million.

His yearly salary with the Lakers for the 2024/25 seasons is $1,157,143 in 2024-25 and progresses to $1,955,377 the following year, $2,296,271 in 2026-27 and $2,486,955 for a team option in 2027-28.

So, per minute, the 40-year-old pockets a whopping $92.6, while his son earns $2.2 per minute.

The basketball icon has been with the Lakers since 2018 following his second spell with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

And he exercised his $52.6 million play option for the 2025/26 season, bypassing the ability to enter free agency.

His future, however, is still uncertain amid talks of a blockbuster trade.

He has been linked with a sensational move away from the California-based franchise, with his relationship with the front office said to be strained.

The Dallas Mavericks, who were involved in a Luca Doncic-Anthony Davis Swap in February, have emerged as a potential suitor, given their relationship with LeBron's side.

The Mavericks and the Lakers are notorious trade partners and having already swapped players this year, an even bigger deal could be in the works this offseason.
