LeBron James' future has dominated the headlines, and the 41-year-old has publicly spoken about when he will decide on his next team.
James announced his exit from the LA Lakers after eight years at the end of June, citing his desire to win a fifth championship ring as his main motivator.
The NBA's leading point scorer has since had proposals from several teams, most notably the Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers and the Boston Celtics.
It even emerged via ESPN's Shams Charania that James was taking an offer from the 76ers "very seriously". At the same time, Golden State superstar Steph Curry expressed his desire to play with the veteran.

"I’d say more so I’m interested to just play golf with LeBron," Curry said last week. "We’ll handle the basketball stuff, but I want to see the golf LeBron free agent. He’s out here really grinding on the game.
"But I’m sure we obviously would love to play together. I mean, hopefully it happens. But he’s deserved the opportunity and the right to take his time with the decision."
James is waiting for the right opportunity to emerge before he makes a decision, and during a live episode of The Shop at Fanatics Fest in New York City, he listed a set of expectations that he wants a team to meet.
"What's most important is I want to compete, I want to compete at a high level," the four-time NBA champion said.
"I want to join a franchise that kind of shares the same motto as myself, and that's, like, practicing championship happens every day. But trusting the process more than anything."
A member inside the jam-packed room also asked him to "pick a team", and he responded: "I won’t hold you guys up too much longer."
That statement suggests a decision could be on the horizon, and many are getting impatient about how long it is taking.

LeBron James' decision is holding up the NBA schedule
Everyone is eager to see where James lands after announcing his departure from the Lakers just last month, and none more so than Adam Silver.
The NBA commissioner has said that where the legendary star ends up next season will influence how the NBA finalises its 2026/27 schedule.
“Where LeBron plays will affect the schedule," Silver said on Thursday during the CNBC Sport x Boardroom Game Plan Summit in New York.
"So, I would like him to make his announcement already, so we can finish the schedule, because, as you might imagine, the teams are calling us, the networks are calling us, and everybody wants to lock in the schedule.”
“It will influence how we set the schedule, how we set opening week, Christmas Day, etc.,” he continued. “So I need him to make a decision."
James isn't just an unbelievable basketball player, but he's also a global icon. Some will tune into the sport just to watch him, and that is obviously why Silver wants his next move tied up as soon as possible.
As it stands, though, no team has managed to persuade him to join.
