Joe Rogan once couldn't believe what he was hearing after a guest claimed that answering one question could put his life in danger.
Having hosted the likes of Donald Trump, Kanye West and Mike Tyson, popular UFC commentator Rogan's podcast is one of the biggest in the world.
Despite boasting 14.5 million followers on Spotify, Rogan also brings on plenty of lesser-known names to explain topics that they are experts in.
But there was one guest who clearly didn't want to discuss one specific topic, after claiming that doing so would risk his life.
In total, Rogan has produced over 2300 episodes of his podcast, which are released on YouTube and Spotify after he signed a huge $100 million deal with the streaming service five years ago.
Many of the most popular episodes, which are recored in his podcast studio in Austin, Texas, feature the UFC's top fighters, such as his recent episode with the unbeaten former featherweight champion Ilia Topuria.
But it was on episode 1035 with guest Paul Stamets that left Rogan at a loss for words.
Stamets is a mycologist and entrepreneur who owns the mushroom company 'Fungi Perfecti', a brand which, according to the company website, is "synonymous with cutting-edge mycological research and solutions".
While the two discussed the positives and negatives of Portobello mushrooms, Rogan, who has previously spoken about taking mushrooms for psychedelic experiences, was keen to get more details on the fungi and asked Stamets, "What are what are the benefit or the negative effects of this?”

Clearly set aback by his guest's reply and the apparent danger that his question posed, Rogan then said: "Whoa didn’t expect that. It puts your life in danger talking about portobello mushrooms? He’s looking at me silently. I will respectfully move on.”
The conversation did move on and the pair went on to discuss other topics relating to Stamets career and expertise, and he later returned to the podcast for episode 2134 last year.
