An MMA star says he is fighting on the UFC White House card after personally speaking to Donald Trump.
The proposed UFC White House event is scheduled to take place on June 14, 2026, to mark 250 years of American independence.
Conor McGregor, who hasn't fought since July 2021, is hellbent on headlining the Washington show, having 'confirmed' his comeback opponent.
Former UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones is also eyeing a spot at the White House despite retiring earlier this year.
Alex Pereira, who reclaimed the UFC light-heavyweight title at UFC 320, has called out Jones to a monstrous showdown.
Several other fighters are hoping to land on the White House card, including Bo Nickal, who returns to action at next month's UFC 322 against Brazil's Rodolfo Vieira.

Ahead of his fight against Vieira in New York City, Nickal has revealed that he is expected to grace the White House card after holding talks with Trump.
The budding UFC middleweight fighter claims the US president wants him on the card and said his involvement is a 'done deal'.
"I'm planning on being on that card. That's history. That's exciting. That's something that I feel I would just be absolutely ecstatic and grateful to be a part of," he said on The Ariel Helwani Show.
"I got to take care of business and yeah, I mean, I've talked with president Trump. He wants me on the card.
"So, I'm sure that if things line up, we'll make it happen."
On his conversation with Trump, Nickal added: "What ended up happening, I was on FOX promoting the RAF (Real American Freestyle) event and he called me up and sent me some encouragement and we talked about the card for a second, but I told him that you know, I wanted to get on it and he said; 'Done deal'.
"So, I'm sure him and Dana [White] obviously very close. He puts a good word on my behalf, then it's probably putting me in a good position."

He won four UFC fights in a row, including victories over Cody Brundage and Paul Craig.
The American was touted as a future UFC champion, but his hype train was derailed when he succumbed to De Ridder.
A victory over Vieira would put him back in the mix.
