Conor McGregor quickly deleted his latest fight announcement amid rumours he is set to return on the UFC White House card this summer.
In just four months, perhaps the most notable UFC card of all time is set to take place on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, D.C., United States.
Since US President Donald Trump and UFC boss Dana White confirmed the event, rumours surrounding who could feature on the card have been circulating.
The likes of Jon Jones, Alex Pereira, Tom Aspinall and, of course, McGregor have all been linked with headlining the fight, but the UFC are yet to confirm any fights to the historic card.

However, it appears that McGregor may have accidentally revealed that he is on the card as he was made to swiftly delete a social media post confirming his the latest news on his comeback.

McGregor's last UFC fight was his TKO loss to rival Dustin Poirier at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on July 10, 2021.
Since then, the Irishman has been linked with a return fight with Michael Chandler on several occasions, with the pair booked to fight on on June 29, 2024, before McGregor pulled out due to a toe injury.
On several occasions since, McGregor has called for White to place him on the White House card, no doubt partly due to his relationship with Trump.
But now, it finally appears that the former two-weight champion has finally had his next fight confirmed, as he took to social media to confirm the news.
Posting on X, McGregor wrote: "I have been offered an opponent and a date and I accept. Waiting on my contract."
The post comes just days after the UFC President confirmed that the UFC White House card was complete, but refused to announce fights as details were finalised.
Of course, the timing of McGregor's post has led to many assuming that he is clearly a part of the UFC's plans for the White House card.
Add to this the fact that McGregor quickly deleted the post, perhaps suggesting that the UFC got in touch to make him do so, and it's looking more and more likely that we will see the 37-year-old return in June.

Should McGregor be a part of the UFC White House card, it's safe to assume that it would finally be to settle the beef with Chandler two years after the original bout was scheduled to take place.
However, there are several other fighters that could be lined up for McGregor's comeback, including the likes of Paddy Pimblett, Jorge Masvidal or even a title shot against Ilia Topuria.
