Nate Diaz has teased a stunning return to the UFC after revealing his desire to welcome Conor McGregor back to the Octagon.
Diaz walked away from the MMA leaders upon the expiration of his UFC deal, finishing his spell with a submission victory over Tony Ferguson at UFC 279 in September 2022.
He returned to the combat sports world with a pair of high-profile boxing bouts, fighting Jake Paul and former UFC foe Jorge Masvidal.
Diaz lost on points to Paul in 2023 but exacted revenge over Masvidal, scoring a unanimous decision victory in their 2024 clash.

But a UFC comeback appears to be on the cards following his latest social media post, where he declared his desire to reclaim his throne as the BMF in the sport.

He shared a clip of his Masvidal call-out at UFC 241, accompanied with the caption: "Let’s not act like I didn’t start a whole division bringing value to all these guys claiming they’re it. I gave opportunity and put notice on the dopest fights I got unfinished business and I plan on going and taking what’s mine asap 1st to ever start a division and the dopest one at that.
"Your welcome motherf**kers I’ll see you soon I’m coming."
If Diaz can't get his hands on a BMF title shot, which is currently in the hands of Max Holloway, then a blockbuster showdown against McGregor could be on the cards.
McGregor is eyeing his own UFC comeback and hopes to land on the UFC White House card in June.
The Stockton slugger has already called for a trilogy against McGregor to take place at the White House.
“Yeah, for sure [I want that fight],” he told Clocked N’ Loaded. "We will see what happens. Time will tell, guys."

Diaz and McGregor are 1-1 in their epic two-fight series following a pair of monstrous showdowns in 2016.
The veteran American shocked the MMA world when he submitted the 'Notorious' at UFC 196.
A few months later, McGregor beat Diaz in a five-round war at UFC 202 to earn a win over his rival.
Both fights drew huge gates in Las Vegas and massive pay-per-view figures, so a trilogy bout would be huge business.
