US Open Wyndham Clark full winnings have been revealed after his impressive win at Shinnecock Hills.

On Sunday evening, American golfer Clark held off a chasing pack to claim his second US Open title at Shinnecock Hills in of Southampton, New York.

The 32-year-old held a six-stroke advantage heading into the final day but soon saw it disappear as fellow American Sam Burns put in an impressive performance in the early stages.

Throughout his final round Clark was subject to brutal jeering with fans hoping to see a chasing Scottie Scheffler win to claim a career Grand Slam heard shouting "get in the bunker" after many of his shots.

Despite this, Clark stood firm and win with a scorecard of four under par, with Burns just one shot behind.

"New York didn't really like me. I love you guys, but, you know, I get it," Clark said following his win on Sunday.

Referencing him controversially destroying a locker after missing the cut at last year's U.S. Open, he added: "Some of it is self-deserved. I did some unfortunate things last year that I really regret.

"I've been sorry multiple times and I'm still sorry, so hopefully I can win you guys over eventually.

"But I get it, they root for Scottie. Grand Slams only happen a few times. He's going to get it. He's the best player in the world, but today it's my day."

How much did Wyndham Clark earn for winning the US Open?

With his win at Shinnecock Hills, Clark not only took home his second US Open, adding to his success at the Los Angeles County Club in 2023, but also the lion's share of increased purse.

Ahead of this year's tournament, it was announced that the purse for this year's US Open was set at $22.5million (£16.4m), matching that of The Masters.

As the tournament winner, Clark will receive a massive $4.5m (£3.28m) of the purse thanks to his narrow victory.

Further down the leaderboard, Scheffler in fourth earned $920,882 (£672,244) while Masters champion Rory McIlroy earned $128,756 (£93,992) for his tied-32nd finish.
