Rory McIlroy has let his feelings be known about the LIV Golf players that do not want to return to the PGA Tour after his second round at the Truist Championship on Friday.
It was announced last month that the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund (PIF) would be withdrawing their funding for LIV Golf at the end of the 2026 season, leading to serious questions about the future of the breakaway league.
LIV Golf are looking for outside investment for next season; however, it is unlikely they will receive the same funding they had from the PIF, and this has led to speculation about their stars returning to the PGA Tour.
Yet, one individual who has suggested they will not make a return to the PGA Tour is Bryson DeChambeau, as he claimed he will focus on his YouTube channel if LIV Golf fails.

However, he also said that he and the PGA Tour could overcome any issues as he spoke to Garrett Johnson of Skratch.
The American said: “I think there's a way to solve any problem.
“It's really about whether the membership wants me back and if they just want me back. That's what it's about.
"I don't even think it's [PGA Tour CEO] Brian Rolapp or anybody like one of the top executives; it's really if the players want me back and if not, then I understand that."
Now, McIlroy has made his thoughts known on those golfers who would not want to make a return to the PGA Tour after last month’s announcement regarding LIV Golf.
The Northern Irish golfer said: “It's a question if they do want to come back.
“Obviously we have seen the quotes over the last few days. And, you know, it seems like some of the guys, if... again, it all depends on what happens to LIV.

“If it is a scenario where they have the option to come back and play on the traditional tours, I think Brian Rolapp has said anything that makes this tour stronger, anything that makes the DP World Tour stronger; I think everyone should be open to that.
“But again, I think there's going to be a lot of sort of bridges to cross to get there, just because, you know, obviously the guys over there are under contract, and if they are able to keep it going and get a schedule together next year, it seems like those guys are still going to play the majority of their golf on LIV, in whatever form it takes."
Golf fans will be keeping a close eye on the situation to see whether the likes of DeChambeau and Jon Rahm will make a return to the PGA Tour next season, if the pair remain with LIV Golf or if they have an alternative option.
