Adam Hayes, Jon Rahm's caddie, has listed his house for sale and it shows just how much professionals can make.

It's well known that professional golf is a sport that rewards those at the top with some massive paydays.

Earlier this month, Rory McIlroy won a hefty prize of $4.5million (ÂŁ3.3m) when he claimed his second consecutive Masters title, with other tournaments offering top prizes of up to $25m (ÂŁ18.5m).

What is perhaps less known is that it's not just the players who see massive paydays from their successes on the golf courses, with caddies typically being rewarded with eye-watering amounts of money.

And it appears that two-time Major winner Rahm's caddie has experienced this first-hand as he has just listed his house in North Carolina for sale for a breathtaking $14m (ÂŁ10.4m).

Hayes has worked alongside the Spaniard since 2015, working with him both on the PGA Tour and in LIV Golf.

The American caddie stood beside Rahm for both his Masters win in 2023 and his US Open victory in 2021, and it's clear he's enjoyed the benefits of the success.

As reported by the Wall Street Journal, Hayes has listed the impressive property located outside of Charlotte, North Carolina, for an eye-watering $13.995m, which would be a record sale for the area.

The 100-acre estate boasts a $75,000 Full Swing golf-and-sports simulator as well as a batting cage, pool, and a gym.

Hayes reportedly bought the property near Lake Norman for $1 million in 2019 and has been able to significantly improve it thanks to his earnings working with Rahm.

How much do golf caddies make?

Although it may vary by golfer, caddies typically can make up to 10 per cent of the player's earnings, plus any bonuses they may be given after a big win.

During his time on the PGA Tour is believed to have made more than $53m (ÂŁ39.3m) across seven seasons in the American league.

Of course, Hayes wasn't with Rahm for the entirety of the Spaniard's time on the PGA Tour, but he has been the only caddie to work with him since his move to join LIV Golf in December 2023.

Since then, Rahm has made a massive $87.7m (ÂŁ64.9) in tournament payouts, more than any other golfer in the league.

Assuming Hayes has received the typical payouts, he's likely made around $10m (ÂŁ7.4m) in the two and a half years since Rahm joined the Saudi-backed league.
